Friends of the JC Public Library
Who We Are The Friends of the Junction City Public Library is an organization dedicated to assisting the library in maintaining and improving excellence and diversity in library services. This is done via community outreach, volunteer aid, fundraising, and participation in community events. Activities of the Friends include purchasing library material supporting the library at city council meetings, sponsoring community events such as talks by authors and providing low-cost library cards to senior citizens and to low-income non-resident area families with children. Annual Friends dues are effective for one calendar year beginning on July 1.
The Friends welcomes new members at any time. Membership forms are available at the library's circulation desk. Friends meetings are held each month on the second Tuesday at 3:30pm pm at the JC Community Center. No meetings held June-August. The Annual Meeting is held in October. All meetings are open to the public. The Friends of the Junction City Public Library is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. |
