At the discretion of the library coordinator, a patron may purchase a new replacement copy of the lost item. All items must be replaced like for like, a paperback copy cannot be substituted for a hardback copy replacement, a regular DVD cannot be substituted for a lost Blu-ray, etc. Confirmation of what format an item was in can be verified with the library coordinator. - View items checked out to your account and their due dates.
- Renew JCP Library books checked out to you.
- Create book lists that can be printed or emailed.
- Change your pin number.
Holds/Inter-Library Loans
For placing a hold on items from the JCP Library or any of the consortium libraries, you must call 541-998-8942, email: library@ci.junction-city.or.us or stop by the JCP library front desk for assistance. Patrons are allowed up to 5 holds at a time. Shipments from consortium libraries come each Wednesday, except for holiday breaks and summer when shipments times are variable. Holds are kept at the front desk for up to 2 weeks after the patron is contacted. Items not picked up will be returned to the original library.
Consortium Library Lending
Since 2012, Junction City has partnered with four Lane County municipal libraries and three library districts in a library consortium. These public libraries agree to allow patrons with a library card from a participating library borrowing privileges. This consortium includes: Cottage Grove, Creswell, Fern Ridge (Veneta), Junction City, Oakridge, Mapleton & Siuslaw (Florence), and Springfield. The Eugene Public Library System is not a part of our consortium and does not honor cards from our libraries.
- Patrons can request up to 5 Holds or Inter-Library Loans at a time.
- Any book listed as a NEW BOOK or BESTSELLER at another library is unavailable for requesting as a hold until it moves to their general collection.
- The Junction City Public Library will hold items for up to 2 weeks after the patron is contacted. Items not picked up will be returned to the original library.
- Materials check out under the originating library’s policies. Unless noted, most Inter-Library books/audiobooks checkout for 28 days. Please refer to your checkout slip for the correct due date.
- If an Inter-Library item is lost or damaged, patrons need to notify the Junction City Public Library, however, patrons will need to work with the originating library to resolve any payment or replacement issues.
- We do not request inter-library loans of materials from outside our consortium.
- Patrons can use their library card at all the consortium libraries to check out items in person. However, these materials must be returned by the patron to that library directly and cannot use the Junction City Public Library to transfer the item back to the consortium library.
