Rules of Conduct

Junction City Public Library Conduct Policies

All persons in the library shall engage ONLY in normal library activities without disturbing others or imposing on their spaces or their comfort.

Approved library activities include

  • browsing for reading or video materials
  • reading quietly
  • using personal or library computers
  • participating in library sponsored/approved special programs and activities
  • drinking water from a closed container

Unacceptable conduct includes anything likely to disturb others, such as

  • smoking or using illegal substances
  • noticeable personal odors
  • loitering or sleeping
  • being noisy or disturbing others in any way
  • not providing adult supervision to young children
  • selling or soliciting for any reason
  • damaging property
  • behaving in any way that is illegal
  • eating or drinking
