Youth and Teen Services

Children and youth are rewarded during the summer.  After reading ten books, a child may choose one paperback as a reward, then after reading another ten books, the reader can have a family day pass to the Max Strauss pool.
Wednesdays at 12:30pm during the summer break, programs are held at the JC Community Center to encourage children and teens to come to the library.
Reference Assistance
The two staff members attempt to answer questions that people have, typically guiding them along the path to the source of information.
There are many sources in the electronic universe, to which this web page acts as a portal.  Check out eShelf & Research.

The Library's Collection

Books:  The library collection reflects the reading tastes of the community in popular fiction and  non-fiction.

DVDs:  We have some television series, largely British, along with donated movies.  We gladly accept donations.

Community Spaces in the Library

The library is small, and there are no spaces that can be used for public meetings.  Non-profit organizations can make reservations for a large room and a conference room at the JC Community Center, right next door.  Contact Tom Boldon, Community Services Director:  541.998.4767.
